So this is my first blog post – feeling very techie right now! With Spring upon us and all the wonderful bright flowers in the gardens to cheer us up, why is it “beginning to look a lot like Christmas”? When I decided to bring LillyPuds into the world, I could never have imagined how Christmas dominates my whole year. Retailers, distributors and buyers are all making their Christmas range decisions right now (if they haven’t already done so) and this process starts right at the beginning of the year. It’s also our time to think about new products, for planning our Christmas events and shows diary, applying for food awards, recapping on the previous year’s trading, etc, etc.
I am over the moon that our year has started so well. We have had some excellent follow up meetings with our existing customers and early indications are that all will be stocking our puddings for Christmas 2017. We have secured listings with distributors, have an export opportunity in progress and have been shortlisted for 2 awards in the Free From Awards http://www.freefromfoodawards.co.uk/ – really excited! The awards ceremony is on Tuesday 28th March so watch this space! We have put together a feedback survey for our customers. If you can spare 2 minutes of your time, we would so welcome your LillyPuds thoughts. Any why not buy a Christmas pud for your Easter lunch? There is a 10% discount for any orders received on line before 1st May 2017 http://www.lillypuds.co.uk/shop/. We also have some wonderful food hampers available and our lush Sticky Toffee Pudding and Sticky Toffee Sauce. Please contact me if you are interested.
This week will be another busy one but I wouldn’t have it any other way. One thing is for sure…. even with pudding domination of my life, I must never lose the magic of Christmas when it actually comes which will include slumping into a chair on Christmas day with my favourite beverage and thinking to myself “what happened to the last 3 months”!
